The Clinical and Biological Effects of PD-1 Expression on Tumor Cells in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

چکیده

The clinical and biological significance of programmed death-1 (PD-1) expression by B-lymphoma cells is largely unknown. Here, using multicolor immunofluorescent staining (MC-IF), we investigated PD-1 PD-L1 in PAX5+ (B-lymphoma), CD68+ (macrophage), or CD3+ (T-cell) formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded samples 32 consecutive patients with de novo diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) treated rituximab plus chemotherapy. PD-1- PD-L1-expressing were observed 59% 3% the patients, respectively. PD-1-expressing lymphocytes macrophages 89% 86% on not correlated prognosis. However, showed shorter progression-free survival than those lacking (p = 0.033). Furthermore, genetically modified PD-1-knockout human VAL reduced cell growth migration, decreased S6 kinase phosphorylation VAL/mock cells. Our data suggest that DLBCL detected MC-IF was associated poor prognosis cell-intrinsic signaling related migration a subpopulation lymphoma. These findings may allow development distinct subtypes affecting

BCL2 Family Related Genes Expression and Chemotherapy Response in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

Background and Objective: Approximately half of patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma are cured with current chemotherapy regimens. The purpose of this study was to evaluate Bax and Bcl2 expression and their relationship with the response to chemotherapy. Materials and Methods This study was a prospective analysis on 44 patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Their specimens we...

The expression and clinical relevance of PD-1, PD-L1, and TP63 in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

Latest study showed that a novel translocation between programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) (cluster of differentiation 274) and TP63 (tumor protein 63) can be found in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), resulting in their conjunct overexpression in tumor cells at RNA level. However, the expressed pattern of these 2 genes at protein level in DLBCL remains largely unknown, and the clinical...

The Evaluation of Immunophenotypes in Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma: A Single Center Study

Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive malignancy of mature B lymphocytes. It is known as a heterogeneous disease with variable therapeutic responses and alternative therapies. Morphological and immunophenotypical evaluation of the biopsy specimens can help diagnose DLBCL. Methods: In the current study, 44 patients were chosen from Shaheed Sadoghi Hospital (2010&nda...

A Case Report of a Metastatic Primary Gastric Lymphoma; Diffuse Large B-Cell or Burkitt Lymphoma?

Introduction: Primary gastric lymphoma (PGL) is a rare tumor, whose differential diagnosis may become complicated without precise immunohistochemistry (IHC) and genetic analysis. Case Presentation: A 33-year-old woman presented with gastric cancer and had undergone gastrectomy without precise IHC and staging in another center. Inappropriate IHC after surgery showed diffuse large B-cell lymphom...

HISTIOCYTE-RICH B-CELL LYMPHOMA: A CASE REPORT OF A RARE VARIANT OF DIFFUSE LARGE B-CELL LYMPHOMA

The authors describe a case of histiocyte-rich B-cell lymphoma (HR-BCL), a variant of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, in a 51-year-old man. The patient presented with large axillary lymphadenopathy. Histopathologic and immunohistochemical examination of lymph node biopsy revealed diffuse effacement of the lymph node architecture by reactive histiocytes and neoplastic CD20 positive B cells. ...
